Rajkotupdates.News : Zydus Needle Free Corona Vaccine Zycov D is our todays topic. According to the Hindustan Times, Zydus Cadila, an Ahmedabad-based pharmaceutical company, may launch the Covid-19 vaccine ZyCov-D in the national vaccination program next week.
ZyCov-D, a DNA-based and needle-free Covid-19 vaccine, has been approved for emergency use in people aged 12 and up. Nonetheless, the report stated that the Union Government has decided to test the vaccine on adults first.

In the first phase, ZyCov-D could be introduced in seven states. The seven states are Bihar, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal.
A needle-free vaccine provides a painless vaccine experience while minimizing major side effects. The vaccination will be administered painlessly using ‘PharmaJet,’ a needle-free application.
The cost of each dose of vaccine is 358, which includes 265 for each dose plus 93 for the needle-free applicator. The rates do not include GST.
Three ZyCov-D doses are to be given 28 days apart. Previously, the Drug Controller General of India (DGCI) approved the ZyCov-D vaccine for emergency use authorization in August 2021.
